OpenTable and why I can’t work without it

[apsp_save_button]

I’ve been on OpenTable for a number of years, but didn’t really utilize it until a couple of years ago.  Then once I did start using it, and using it regularly, I saw what I could do with it.

When you make a reservation on OpenTable, you earn 100 OpenTable points.  Consider this $1.  At times you can find reservations worth 1000 points ($10).

If I am out taking customers to lunch 3-5 times a week. This means that in a month, I can make anywhere from $60-1000 a month.

If I am on site meeting with a customer, and lunch is to follow, but we haven’t  picked a spot yet, I just pull out my phone and pull up the OpenTable app and find the closest 1000 point reservation.  This approach has yet to fail me.

By using OpenTable, we’re seldom disappointed with the quality of restaurant. And by filtering on cost (I like the $$ category), I have found a sweet spot that keeps my customers happy and well fed, and management off my back for high expenses.

The OpenTable points can be converted to a gift certificate that can be used at one of your favorite OpenTable restaurants.  Denominations start at 2000 ($20)  points, and increment every 1000 points from there.
