Since doing my end of year cash run, I get a lot of comments about opening so many credit cards in such a short time. They are typically followed up with more questions around my credit score, and how it was affected.

Seeing this article from Investopedia made me think of the math involved to manage my credit score. A good read, and sage advice!

My main take away from the article was how closing an account WILL NOT shorten your age of credit.
