Cash Back Rewards

Bank of America Rewards Cards, changes that could add up

In the last month or so, I’ve received a couple of emails about changes to the BOA cards that I have.

For the Bank of America Cash Rewards World Mastercard Card and my Bank of America MLB World Mastercard it’s a 3-2-1 approach.

  • 3% cash back categories can be chosen from gas, online shopping, dining, travel, drug stores, or home improvement/furnishings.
  • 2% cash back at eligible grocery stores/ wholesale clubs
  • 1% cash back for every $1 on all other purchases

However, my Bank of America Travel Rewards Visa Signature is still earning 1.5 PPD.

This is causing me to take another look at my tertiary card. 3% is double what I’m making on my current one. I will have to try to examine my spending categories and see if it would make sense to set up one of these category based rewards cards in some of my profiles. Stay tuned…
