Like most things, I heard about Ebates from a friend. They sent me a referral link and I earned, I forget, $5 or $10, they earned $10 or $20.
Right now, you get $10, I get $25. Not too shabby….
I installed the Ebates extension into my web browser and I have the mobile app on my phone. If I am shopping online, my Ebate’s button let’s me know if there is a cash back offer from the site I am shopping at. With a click, I can add that to my shopping session. The cash back offer could be 2-3%, but there are times where that will jump up 6%, 10% or higher.
The mobile app works a little differently. If I am going out shopping, I check out the mobile app for in-store cash back opportunities. If I see a store that I am heading to (Macy’s, Johnston & Murphy, etc), I click and add that to my wallet. I have my credit cards linked in the app.
It has worked out great, especially around Christmas time when the cash back opportunities appear to explode!
Over the course of a year, they will send you “Big Fat Checks” that you can cash (I deposit them into my vacation savings account). Over the last two years, I have made around $400 by just using Ebates and shopping as I normally do.
Here’s where you can take learn more and sign up for Ebates, and remember, You get $10 (and I thank you for my $25!!!).
