With all the locations in Landry’s Select Club, you never know where and when inspiration for points may come in. For Christmas my son and I received gift certificates for The Void at the Mall of America. It was an absolutely INCREDIBLE immersive virtual reality experience. While I can go on and on about the experience, it isn’t the point of this post so I will spare you those details.
But while the boys were at play, the girls were able to find a way to fill the time.
But when we got together, we were hungry. (apparently shopping and killing stormtroopers work up an appetite)
This is where Landry’s comes in. We headed down to the Rainforest Cafe, where we were met with a 40 minute wait for a table. “Is there a Landry’s Select line?” I asked the hostess.
“Oh, you’re a Landry’s member?” she smiled. “We’ll have you seated in 20 minutes.”
It never hurts to ask.
My wife didn’t want to wait. (shopping at Ulta REALLY works up an appetite). So we went across the way to Bubba Gump’s (another Landry’s restaurant). No wait. We went right in.
The net-net, even giving the kids carte blanche to order whatever they wanted (this meant crab legs and blue slushy drinks in souvenir cups that blink blindingly bright lights) was a $20 tip.
Don’t mind if I do!
