I received an offer in the mail. It would appear that Citi is promoting Citi Priority Banking package, which is essentially opening a check and savings account in conjunction with your Citi Double Cash card.
To start, your Citi Double Cash card give you a half percent bump when you open a savings account. Earn 2.5% cash back (1.5% when you buy + 1% when you pay) Now add to that the 2.36% APY on your Accelerate Savings account.
Now here is the catch, you must maintain a balance of $50,000 or more in combined balances between checking, retirement, and investment accounts within the Citi Priority Banking Package in order to have your $30 a month service fee waved.
So if you’re not looking move to Citi for all of your banking/investment needs, this program is probably not for you. But if you are looking at moving $50,000 over to Citi, you can get a $600 bonus.
