It’s good to have options, and the HSBC Cash Rewards Mastercard is a great option for a free cash back card.  Not only do you get your usual 1.5% cash back on all purchases, HSBC will throw in another 10% of your rewards on your anniversary. The more cash back you earn, the more cash back you get!

In addition to it’s no annual fee and cash back earning, the HSBC Cash Rewards Mastercard also adds in some additional capabilities.

Update December 19, 2018

After contacting customer service inquiring about my sign up bonus, I was informed that any card opened after October 22nd, 2018 had a $2500 spend minimum to qualify.  As I opened my account on the 29th of that month, I was well under my minimum.

Based on the switcharoo, and the “wonky” feel of their web and mobile apps, I closed my account on the spot.  I do not recommend getting this card.
